Beginning Acrylic Painting with Ben Harrison - Rescheduled

Dive into the world of acrylic painting with this two-day workshop! Artist Ben Harrison loves to teach beginning classes as he enjoys breaking big concepts into easily digestible pieces. Day one will focus on short projects designed to familiarize students with the working properties of acrylic paint as well as provide a foundation for composition, value and color.  Day two will give students the opportunity to apply their developing skills to painting a subject of their choice with feedback and guidance from the instructor

Dates: Sat. July 29 + Sun. July 30th

Time: 9:30 am - 5:30 pm (with a break for lunch)

Fee: $275

Colibri Gallery is in the process of building a larger space to offer art workshops. Some of our smaller workshops like drawing and photography, will be hosted at Colibri Gallery. For our large-scale workshops such as painting and printmaking, we partner with local non-profit 6th Street Studios & Art Center located 15 minutes South in downtown Gilroy.

About the Artist: 

Ben Harrison is a freelance illustrator and artist based in Hollister, CA.  He holds a post-bac in Visual Arts from UC Berkeley Extension and is currently completing his MFA in Illustration from Academy of Art University in San Francisco.  Passionate about fine art, illustration and comics alike, Ben is particularly drawn to figurative work and loves to depict subject in a variety of styles from classic to contemporary. He loves to teach - especially beginning classes because he has a knack for taking big concepts and breaking them down into easily digestible pieces.

Cancelation:

In the case that minimum class enrollment is not met 1 week before the workshop, Colibri Gallery will cancel the workshop and issue you a full refund. We will also let you know if the class is rescheduled for a future date.
